Pepper Pike is a city in the Greater Cleveland, Ohio area. In 1763, pioneers established historic Orange Township, which included what is present-day Pepper Pike, OH. The area’s primary industry was diary farming and cheese production for many years. Orange Township voted to incorporate the village of Pepper Pike in 1924. Pepper Pike later became incorporated as a city in 1970. It’s rumored that the city earned it’s name from the Pepper family, who lived and worked along the primary turnpike.
According to the 2013 census, the population of Pepper Pike is 6,149. The city has a total area of 7.09 square miles. Of this total area, Pepper Pike has 0.03 square miles of water and 7.06 square miles of land.
